EV & Renewable Infrastructure
EV charging, solar PV, and battery energy storage projects, from feasibility through utility interconnection.
Overview
Adding fast chargers, rooftop or canopy PV, or behind-the-meter battery storage means new load (or new generation) on a system that wasn’t designed for it. We handle feasibility, load and capacity analysis, equipment selection, utility coordination, and the interconnection package across DCFC fleet depots, retail Level 2 deployments, commercial PV up to a few megawatts, and battery ESS for peak shaving or backup.
What's included
Scope of work
Site feasibility and capacity study
EV load forecast and demand-charge modeling
PV system layout, string sizing, and inverter selection
Battery ESS sizing for peak shaving, backup, or NEM offset
Service equipment sizing and switchgear specification
Utility interconnection application package
NEC 625 (EV) / NEC 690 (PV) / NEC 706 (ESS) compliance documentation
Methodology
How the engagement runs
A consistent process means predictable timelines, fewer surprises, and a defensible record if anyone (AHJ, insurance, OSHA) asks how the work was done.
- 01
Feasibility
Site walk, existing service capacity review, and utility tariff analysis to confirm the project is buildable economically.
- 02
Design
Single-line, equipment schedules, and conduit/feeder routing developed with the architect or GC.
- 03
Utility coordination
Interconnection application, witness-test scheduling, and any required studies (Section 5.4 / impact study) managed end-to-end.
- 04
Permit and construction support
Stamped drawings for permit; RFI and submittal review during construction.
- 05
Commissioning
Acceptance testing protocols; PV system commissioning per NEC 690.4(B).
Stamped
